The scientific symposium “Microbes – Connecting Environment and Health” brings together leading researchers from the Clusters of Excellence (EXC) “Balance of the Microverse” (Friedrich Schiller University of Jena), “Controlling Microbes to Fight Infections” (University of Tübingen), and “RESIST – Resolving Infection Susceptibility” (Hannover Medical School).

We are pleased to welcome distinguished speakers, including Prof. Dr. Dusan Bogunovic from the Columbia University Medical Center, New York City, Prof. Dr. Wolf-Dietrich Hardt from ETH Zurich, and Prof. Dr. Maria Vehreschild from the Frankfurt University Hospital.

The thematic focus areas of the symposium are:

  • Resilience of microbial communities
  • Susceptibility to infections
